2012 New Years Resolutions

2012 NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS - I don’t do New Year Resolutions but 2012 is different In 2012 I have one and only one resolution and that is I will do anything I can (Letters to the Editors-Tweets-Phone Calls-Videos, Town Hall Meetings, Marches, Protest) anything short of violence to stop Republicans at every level of elected office weather it be City , County, State or more importantly National Office from winning anything. There combined Anti Choice for Women, Anti Marriage Equality for the LGBT Community, Anti Public Service Worker, Anti Black, Anti Muslim, Anti Non English Speaking agenda cannot advance. It’s 2012 and you still have a fringe although a minority of those Republicans that still believe that President Obama was not born in America as stupid as that is stupider is that they have a following that believe that and you wonder why we refer to them as “Wingnuts” ? Included in this resolution is to work to make sure President Barack Hussein Obama is elected to a second term as President.

NJ Governor Christie's attack on Sick Time

Here we go again Big Tough Bully Chris Christie attacking Public Workers negotiated and agreed to benefits. And a minority of New jersey citizens that think he is doing a bang up job and make no mistake they are a minority. It may be time for those Public Service workers to stand up and get in the governor’s face they way he likes to against in any one that opposes his stance on issues. The New Jersey State workforce needs to take a page from our Government workers across Europe and pull some job actions a strike may be under current Civil Service laws a difficult thing to do . But if the entire New Jersey Public Service Workforce from top to bottom were to all come down with Christie-Flu something that is going around the state and takes a 3 day bed rest to get over maybe then and only then will he and his fellow Republican overreaching Governors (Perry in Wisconsin -Scott in Florida - Kasich in Ohio - LaPage in Maine) get the message You are not going to kick us around if you choose to sit down and renegotiate benefits packages with sensible and fair back and forth compromise you might find that those workers and there representatives would be more than willing to do that but if you chose to dictate and make changes on your own as you did with the COLA in NJ something that was done with your office and the Legislators did those currently collecting a NJ State Pension have a say in that change who represented us. Nobody so in this case if you keep pursuing this attack the way you are I wish the entire state workforce brings in a doctor's note showing they were affected with Christie Flu.

Occupy Wall Street

I was at the Support the Occupy Wall Street March on October-5th some thoughts
It's not all rich kids that have no clue it's (Union Members - Retired people White, Black and everything in between

It is a movement to stop and protest many things a small list might look like

1-Corporate Greed (a CEO getting a 20M Bonus then telling a Secretary & Custodian we can't afford a 2% raise for you

2-Lack of Government Provided Healthcare for all that cannot afford it
3-Jobs
4-Union Busting
5-Bank Bailouts
6-College Tuition
7-Cuts to Teachers, Police, Firemen
8-The minimum wage
9-The Cost of Gas
10-Blaming the financial problems on Public Service workers
11-The US Supreme Court Citizens United Ruling
Now if you want to refer to these demands as "Socialism" So be it remember as Captain Kirk said to Mr. Spock "The Needs of The Many outweigh the Needs of the Few or the One"

The England Riots & the US Economy are linked

Are you paying attention to what is happening in England ? Massive Riots , Looting, Autos and buildings being set on Fire. If not you better start paying attention because if the assault on the middle class and workers, seniors and the poor continues here at home in the US we will be seeing the same and possibly worst . The proposals put forth by the Republican Party more specifically The Paul Ryan Plan will destroy this country and we cannot allow that to happen. A good place to start will be the Wisconsin recall elections being held today if the Democrats retake control of the Wisconsin Senate it may show political shift to the left which also could be the momentum start to the 2012 National elections where Democrats could retake the US House of Representatives and up there majority in the Senate because if the Republicans gain seats, State Houses and the White House the riots in England and throughout Europe and the Middle East will look like children’s backyard party’s next to the civil unrest that will take place in the United States

Thank You Wisconsin Governor Walker

It was not his intention but by threatening to end collective bargaining rights of Public Service Workers. Followed by now threatening massive layoffs Wisconsin Governor Walker has did something President Obama has not been able to do since his historic campaign and election to the White House and that is to get us Liberals off our Asses and to fight for what we believe in. We grew complacent and lazy going starting back during the invasion of Iraq when we had some small street protest none of which rose to the levels of the Vietnam protest when we helped stop a war. Governor Walker started not only a disagreement between the Wisconsin State House and Public Service workers but a nationwide fight between Republicans vs Democrats / Conservative vs Liberals / Rich vs Poor / Tea Party vs Progressives . And there is a possibility of it being a long nasty and bloody war
